The Salvation Army Food Drive was a great success this year! Not only was this event for a worthy cause but several volunteers managed to have their efforts count towards community volunteer hours for high school.

I’ve been posting updates every few days on the web site. I’m not emailing these as I don’t want to bug everyone with email. I’m in touch with the regional Health Unit every other day. They provide me with a little additional background when they can. This algae bloom situation is not evolving very quickly, and the slow turn-around between sample and test is not going to help either. The cooler temperatures we are experiencing will help, as will the slightly more overcast days. Rain runoff is not a help, unfortunately.
