On Saturday, April 24, 2021 we suddenly and unexpectedly lost a much loved member of our community, Rick Davis. Our condolences to his family.
This world lost a truly wonderful Husband, Dad, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Sadly, my Dad succumbed to a heart attack at Markham Stouffville Hospital on the evening of Saturday April 24th 2021. It was sudden and it was fast and it came as a shock to everyone. He had been admitted to the hospital on April 19th and was diagnosed with cancer. My Mom and Dad faced his diagnosis and treatment plan with positivity and optimism. He had a surgery on Thursday and his treatment plan was underway, things were looking up. My Mom was able to spend a few hours with him at the hospital the day after his surgery however hospital restrictions did not allow us to see him after that. This is an incredibly hard time in everyone’s lives with so many restrictions imposed upon us.
My Dad was 75 years old . Music was his passion. Golf was his passion. Family was his passion. He collected friends just like he collected guitars and golf clubs. He was affectionately know to his work colleges as “the Legend”
Beloved husband to Pauline (nee Grover). Predeceased by his son Warren (Christine Ryan and Anthony Wood). Loving father to Lisa (Michael Tremblay). Wonderful Grandfather to James, Kyla and Ryah. Amazing brother to Cary (Betty), Marilyn, Carolyn (Les) and Sheri (Barry). Amazing brother-in-law to Brian (Carol), Bernie (Giselle) and Gail (Jim). Favourite Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Loved by extended family members Oliver, Laura and Thomas. Band mate, Golf partner and Friend to many, many people.
There will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be planned when it is safe to gather.
