He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susanne (McEwen); sons William (Koo) of Toronto, and Rory (Cathy) of Newmarket; grandchildren Elliott, Cameron, Nicholas, and Jackson; and brother Robin (Maureen) of Guelph. He will be greatly missed also by his extended family, and many friends. His lifelong passion for teaching took him from London to Texas, Petrolia, Ghana, Lakefield, and North Bay. After devoting 24 years to his craft at Canadore College and Nipissing University, he retired in 1993. He will be remembered for his jovial and gregarious enjoyment of life, insatiable curiosity, and devotion to his family. Cremation will be followed by private family interment arrangements.
