2018 Halloween @ Sturgeon Point

This year Halloween festivities are taking place on Saturday, October 27th.

The fun starts at 11am with face painting and pumpkin carving at the Park. Thanks to our volunteers for helping to organize refreshments and crafts for this event.

We are looking for volunteers to run the Halloween craft and game!

At 6pm, take a journey through Sturgeon Point’s Treat Trail and pick up goodies from those that are shelling out.

Please use the link above to sign up for trick or treating so that we can know who is handing out goodies AND how many are coming!

2018 Thanksgiving Football Game

Each year on Thanksgiving a group of folks gather at Sturgeon Point to toss the ol’ pigskin around and have a grand ol’ time. Over the past several years this event has taken place at 33 Henry St.

Details:

Location – “Rigadoon” – 33 Henry Street (Wisener cottage)

Date – Sunday, October 7th

Time – 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Whether you are interested in playing or just watching and socializing with friends and neighbours everyone is welcome!

Please bring your own lawn chair/blanket and beverage of choice.

The format of the game is touch football for all ages. Teams are distinguished as “Hats” and “No-Hats” so if you plan to play, please bring a hat with you.

There will be an All Candidates Meeting on Sunday, September 2nd at the Sturgeon Point Church

The meeting will take place following the SPA Annual General Meeting.
