Spring 2012 Newsletter

The most recent SPA newsletter was sent out in May by both email and by post. As usual, you can access it as well as past newsletters, on the SPA page of this web site. If you’d like to read the Spring newsletter right now, click here.

If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be, please send a note saying so to [email protected]. Membership is not necessary to be on our email distribution list. Naturally we don’t share the distribution list with anyone, for any reason. Newsletters and other communications are sent out approximately four to six times per year

Bear Cub

A bear cub has been seen wondering the streets of Sturgeon Point.

Please be careful.  Bears can be dangerous, so please do not interact with them, approach them, and definitely do not feed them. If you’d like to report the bears to the MNR bear reporting line, you can call them at 866-514-2327. For emergencies, dial 911.

And let us know about any bear sightings you have, by posting on our Facebook page.

Lake water irrigation system temporarily shut down…

The lake water irrigation system has been shut down on Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Streets pending the repair of a leaking water pipe. The eastern section of the water system remains up and running. The repairs are expected to be completed in the coming days. Note that we are expecting some rain on Tuesday, which will provide some relief for those of you with thirsty gardens.
